g'day,
i am still having probs with downloading from revit city
i am using mozilla firefox.
my settings are:
tools>options>save all files to desktop
when i select download, the "download completed" very quickly appears without ever
seeing any "progress bar" in action
the file can not be found.
so for i have not seen any filenames on items of interrest to me
therefore it is not possible to do a proper search
i do not have any trouble receiving files some month ago nor with files from other sources which were automaticly downloaded.
could someone throw some light on the matter please?
thanks,
robert.

I use Firefox, and I had to figure this one out already. When you get to the screen that says this:
************************************
"Thank you for downloading from Revitcity.com
Please remember that your download was only possible by the generosity of others. Please give back by uploading your families today!
If your download does not begin in 15 seconds, Click Here to download.
If your browser is opening the file up as a text file, right click the link and select "Save Target As" (or similarily worded).
Upload Families"
*************************************
Right click on the link in the middle that says "Click Here" then pick "Save Target As", and it should download right away. Just like it says in the last line.

thanhs for your responce mate.
just prior to your responce, a mate of mine had an other solution which works well.
try this:
after selecting the "download"
the screen comes up which tells you to "click here"
select the "click here: with a RIGHT HAND click
then select "Save Llink As"
bingo! , the standard "save" dialog box comes up and you can select your favoured folder.
the file is actually saved in the correct rfa format.
thank so much for your help
cya,
robert.

Right.
I think that's what I said. It is a bit strange to do it that way, but it always works for me.
Happy downloading

I've been trying to download families using the method suggested above on Firefox... while it seemed to work initially, I have recently been recieving .php files instead of .rfa files. I switched to Explorer, and the downloads now work exactly as intended. Hopefully RevitCity can fix this Firefox problem, so that Firefox users like myself don't have to taint our machines with Explorer just to download from this site.

You are doing something wrong. I use Mozilla firefox and my downloads work just fine using the save as. Just right click on the click here and use save as.
