what is the best way to edit elevations so that they read like proper architectural drawings? As of now, if I apply a linweight to a line in elevation, it is applied to the entire line, even if it is partially hidden in that elevation, so i have to make it an invisible line first and then draw a detail line where the original line was. Is there a faster, easier way?

When you applied a thicker lineweight, you see two dots on both end of the line, you can actually drag those dots to where you want the line to end.
