Below are some of the improvments that i'm looking for at the moment, if you have time see what you think of them, the ones with the stars are the important ones for me. they are in no order of importace. thanks. 1- ****A package and go tool, say I have a linked project with worksets enabled I would like to be able to select the central file and have a tool to package and go so I can send someone the file on disc and it would have all the links setup and also have a library of the materials with all the materials still working, this is important if you are sending your Revit file to a render farm to render. 2- *****a tool that will make everything in a section that is a certain distance back to be greyed out/ have different line weights/different level of detail/different model graphics style. Need to have choice of one or a mixture of all the above options. Would really need to be able to set the distance plane in a plan view and would need to be able to have that plan to be split just like the section tool. 3- A transparent tool. Would like to be able to select one or multiple objects and then hit a button similar to hide or isolate but it would make the object transparent. 4- When creating a callout would like the bubble to go to different sides depending if I draw left to right or right to left. This would save having to adjust it after you placed it. 5- *****when I load a project that has links in it I would like the links not to load automatically, instead I would like to load them only as I need them this would save projects taking 5+ mins to open and save. 6- When rendering ceiling grid should line up with the plan/wireframe of the ceiling grid. It’s a pain to have to keep moving them and doing test renderings to get it in the right place, and then the when you get the renderings done you have to go back and fix the plan’s. 7- ****would like to be able to turn off say all the furniture in all the links in one go rather than having to do it in every link separately. 8- Decals, need to have a preview in shaded view’s to help line up, so I don’t have to do a lot of test renderings, would also bring shaded view presentations to the next level. 9- ***** want a click “all OK” button so when I’m finished editing properties of an object I don’t have to hit the OK button 6 times. 10- Need an undo view change button, so I can undo a view change. 11- When you select an object it would be nice if under the properties it tells you the height as well as what level its on, this is needed when you are using worksets and you don’t know what height all the levels are. 12- *****Topography needs to have surface patterns 13- Zoom object command so in large projects you can select an object in say a plan view then go to a 3d view and click on zoom object so the object will zoom to its full extents. 14- Update graphics option that I can click so the system will only update the graphics when I tell it too, example turn on shadows, change to shaded view and isolate category and zoom in, then instead of Revit regenerating 4 times I would like it to wait until I tell it to so it will only Regen once, which in large projects would save me time. 15- When hide objects then save work, then close and reopen project I would like the objects to be still hidden. 16- *****being able to hide object and getting the print to not print the hidden objects. 17- Would like to be able to isolate all the objects/parts of objects made from the same material. 18- Be able to make nor square section boxes in 3D 19- *****Being able to make an angled jogged section. 20- A reverse of ctrl & tab, so I can flick between views 21- ***** link to Viz or at least being able to export as a .max

how bout being able to slope the built in structural components. why have roof truss-joists that you cant slope with the underside of roof? would be a big time saver in bldg sections. *unless i am stupid and you can already do this*

Yea you can do this in revit v9. You just assign different heights to each end.

what i sould like with the trusses, is that they are also roof components so the slope with the roof automatically.

How about the ability to make tapered insulation roofs? It seems like everyone always forgets about the big buildings with flat roofs and tapered insulation crickets.
