I started this project about 4 months ago. It is our firms first start-to-finish Revit project. By default the Main Level is at 0'-0". Now, with CD's due in 3 weeks, my boss wants the Main Level to be at 100'-0", with the other levels corrisponding. I have tried a few tricks to due this, but they all come back with a list of errors. One time I recieved over 700 errors at once. Haha. Cancel. Does anyone have an easy answer for this. Maybe, something obvious that I am overlooking.

Right click level line, properties, shared level, set elevation of level line.
You can have each level 100' 110' or 100' 10' 20' etc.

Only 156 error when I tried it that way.
I right-clicked the elevation line. Selected Properties. Clicked on Edit/New. Changed the Elevation Base to Shared. Click OK. Then in Constraints I changed the Elevation to 100'-0". It thought about it for a few minute. Then, when it finished, the Upper Level, Top of Parapet Level, Cafeteria Level and Foundation Level remained in place. Everything associated with the Main Level was gone, prosumably 100' in the air, and an error box showed up with 156 errors. I just hit cancel at this point.
Did I do it the way that you meant for me to, or did I mess something up. I should note that I do know how to change the elevation of a level. Should the method above have changed all the levels at the same time? That's what I need; everything to move up 100' at the same time. With 0 errors preferably.

SWEET!
I tried it again. With the Elevation Base set at Shared, I went to Tools. Then, to Project Position/ Orientation. Then I picked Relocate this Project. It started the Move Tool. I clicked in the window and moved it vertically 100'-0". The building disappered with no errors. When I zoomed out there it was at 100'-0" with all levels corrisponding.
Thanks for the tip.

Can't change Instance's Family. Try changing Instance's Host to a Level first. |
