im wanting to know is there a quick way to give my walls texture without them looking flat?

Yes, this can be accomplished through the accurender materials. Just play around with them until you get what you're looking for. See this image...

Go to Settings on the menu choose Material.
Choose some material. Click Duplicate-button- rename the material
Click the down-arrow for Accurender Texturedow
And have a look at the attached image.
Create a new material
And you can bump it...
Giving the walls some plaster texture bumping out and in.
It will look like the walls in a pizza shop then... Good Luck...
You can bump with procedural texture and with your own bitmaps
You have to go through tne material editor.
I am sorry but I have no video link to send you to show how to do it.
Perhaps the folks at Revit are producing some videos soon...
