I am hoping someone can help me with this...I am modelling an OLD building with considerable detail. Everything has been going well thus far. My problem is dentil molding and ornate brackets. Is there any wall sweep I can use to get these details or will I be forced to model each tiny little dentil and ornate bracket one by one?

Thats the only thing worse than having to paint in between those little teeth!
You could build a sweep of the profile and then come in from a 90 degree view and cut out a void extrusion of the teeth, or make one small void and array that the line of moulding.

I had to do something similar for an old coastal style house. I used a point to point family and linked a small bracket into the family and array a set distance. It worked pretty well, I've attached the file if you want to use it. Just modify the linked bracket and the distance of the array and it should work.

That one works really well. That's a good solution if the backer piece is simple like that. The rail I did is more for situations that have trimwork that needs to chamfer/miter at corners. It also has the benefit of going easily around curves. Your's has the definite advantage when it comes to scheduling/material takeoffs because it doesn't think it's a "rail" like mine does. Thanks for the help.
