If any one knows. When making a wall with finishes. Can I make the finishes non bearing and the structural wall part bearing so when you make a structural floor plan only the structural wall would be able to show. I tried it in a test and could not do it but maybe I am missing something? So far the only way I have done it is to make walls separate and then attach them to each other. The Problem is I work for an A&E firm and the architects that do the first drawings and don't care about the structural items. And then I have to go around and try to clean it up. It can take a wile to get that done and then making sure all opening and other items are accosiated.

Try going into the properties of the wall and click on the edit new button. Under "construction" click edit and then where it says interior side click on insert and then you can move it up or down to either the exterior or interior face of the wall which will put your finish out side your core boundry. Then change the function of that line to a finish. Post edited on 2006-08-10 15:34:59
