I'm trying to make an accordion door where the number of folds varies with the size of the door. I was able to do this through an array and setting the paramater with an equation. My problem is that the array does not allign with the wall cutout. I've tried using the align tool and lock but the array still doesn't flex with the wall. Any tips?

Refer my tutorial on nested families and arrays if you haven't already. It sounds as though you haven't constrained the defining elements of the array in all axis. Also make sure you constrain them using their origin.
