I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to create a solid geometrical shape that doesn't just go up and down like a standard "solid extrusion." I'd like to be able to create solid geometry that can be edited in elevation as well, just like editing the profile of a wall. A good example would be this: I'd like to make some diagonal exterior wood trim for the exterior elevations of a small house. I can create a solid extrusion but that just gives me a vertical object. I'd like to look at it in elevation and edit it that way, but Revit prompts me to open a plan view to edit the extrusion. Maybe there is a better way to do something so simple. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Hi there what you need to do is create a void and tell the void to cut the solid extrusion for it to work.
