I want to show certain text and dimensions on one plan, and different text notes and dimensions on another plan. How do I seperate the different text/dimension styles to only show them on the views I want. Similar to switching layers on/off in Autocad ?

Use 'duplicate with details' in the Project browser and remove the unwanted text and Dimnesions. Even though annotation are view specific,You cannot control the visibility by individual elements.
