Once I created a new stacked wall and try to place a window into it, I don't get the temperary dimension that show up from the center of the window to the interior edge of the walls, but only on my new stacked wall. The problem only exists when i turn a corner with this new wall. If i just draw a straight wall with no corners, the dimensions show up and if i only turn one corner, the dimension only shows up from the non-corner side of the wall to the center of the window. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what the problem is. thanks

If the temp dims continue to not show up, try this: Using the dimension tool, place a dimension from the center of the window to the wall face/center you want to dimension from using the dimension tool then select the window. The dimension should then turn blue (or whatever color your editable text changes to) and you should be able to change the dimension that way. If it doesn't work that way then all I can say is that this is a problem that I've had before and have not been able to resolve. The other workaround is to align a ref. plane to the face/center of the wall. Now a temp dim should show up when you select the window. HTH, GL.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
