I think we have accepted that for the time being, Revit wants us to use 1,2,3.. instead of A,B,C.. as revisioin numbers :-(
I would however like to include the drawing revision number on the drawing list. I have tried, but for the time being, I add it manually
Any alternatives?

Try the Drawing Manager from the www.revittv.com website - it works like a charm for me - it handles Numbers/Letters and Both for Drawing Revisions... It also records all drawing issues in a database that can then be used to automatically generate Drawing Issue Transmittal Forms/Reports...
