I am trying to connect a small shed roof (10/12) off the side of a house that meets at a corner with a 18.5"/12 roof. Each made from a footprint. Joining/attaching does not work. There has to be a way. The attached image shows what I would like to accomplish and where my model is at. ALSO can you join a roof to a vertical wall AND another roof in the same process? Thanks Boyd

I would shorten the overhang on the steeper roof to match the photograph, then experiment with the footprint lines for the lower roof until it joins just right. I'm not sure if this is the elegant way to do it, but it sure works for me. JOHN

If you're not a member of AUGI: 1) You'll need to be in order to view this thread. 2)Why aren't you? You do use Revit.. right? =P http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=39078&highlight=gable+return This has a solution that you could possibly use. I don't see any reason for the join tool to not work... except that I've had the same problem before. Redrawing the roof solved the problem =) Post edited on 2006-07-18 10:26:24

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
