Hi all,
I am easily able to create a schedule listing respective room areas.
How do you create a single row that shows the total of all those areas?

right clik on the schedule
select properties
select "formatting" tag
select the fied "area"
check the box that says "calculate totals"
You can also then use the sorting and grouping to sub total by other fields.

I had the same problem. In addition to selecting "calculate totals" in the formatting tab, you have to click "grand totals" in the sorting/grouping tab, then select totals (and/or titles and counts) from the drop down.
