Do you mean adding a cut fill pattern? There are two settings for cut fill, that is by material and at coarse scale setting you have a separate coarse scale cut pattern for each wall type in its properties. Just edit the appropriate material that makes up your wall in the settings drop down menu and add a cut pattern to the material... I apologise if i've misunderstood your query... Thanks, that does it! Its a little buried, but now that you've pointed it out, it will be handy. Here's the route: Select Wall-->Properties Icon-->Edit/New-->Course Scale Fill Pattern-->CryingDesired fill pattern... I used 'Solid Fill'Winking However... it seems that In-Place Wall families are not as easy to fill. Any idea how to do this? Again, thanks for the pointer.

Just find the material you've set for the in-place wall family. Go to Settings - > Materials --> Find the material in the left list and select it --> Where it says cut pattern, select the arrow at the far right and select an appropriate pattern, in your case solid fill. Then select a colour for the fill. There you go.

It took me a little bit to figure this one out.  But what exactly is the Coarse Scale Fill Pattern used for? Maybe I am not that far along..but so far I don't see anything from it.

I really want this to work...some good things some bad

I sometimes use this feature to check my wall type locations.  By giving each interior wall type a different coarse color, I can quickly verify that I have the correct wall in the correct place.  Easy to change out when I am ready to final plot.
