I'm new to Revit and would like to know how to add to Revit's default line styles. I know how to create my own line style(s), however, I would like to add them to Revit's default settings, so that they can be used in any project without having to be creating again for each project. I'd appreciate any help someone can give on this subject. Thanks a bunch.

you would have to create a template, and use that template everytime you start a new project file.

So, now that I have created my own template file how do I remove the Revit default line styles.

There are some system styles that you can not remove. To remove a linestyle, select it in the manage/settings/linestyles and delete it. Any line that was that style will now become Thin Lines. If you can't delete the line style - then it is a system line.
