Seeing how I'm one for getting over my head and I have Revit 8.1 at my disposal I decided to work on a friends addition drawings for him. I figure what better way to learn as I'm always looking for new career avenues.
My question is:
I first did his As-built which I have made the 'existing phase'. I now have the 'new construction' phase going and have a new roof that I want to join to the old roof. I keep getting the following errors.
1) The roof cannot be joined.
2) Can't keep wall and roof joined
I can create and attach the roof in the 'existing' phase but no luck between phases. Is it possible?
Thanks,
Doug

It's not a phase issue. I have found that some roofs just don't like to be joined. It is possible to join different phased roofs. Try and draw your new roof to match into the existing roof. Sometime " join geometry" works.
