I have a cross section that I'll be using in multiple projects.
Not getting how to pull it into another drawing after I've used "save to new file" by right clicking on the view name in the browser.
I can locate the file it was saved to, but don't know how to get it into the drawing that it needs to be. Ultimately I want it in my template.
Again the help menu doesn't really give you enough info to complete the task at hand.
Is it only drafting views that can saved out to other projects or can you save out actual views of the project like sections??
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Randy

You can only save 2d lines etc. to file. To import the saved file into the template its under File. Can remember the correct name as I don't have it in front of me. Once you import it in it will show up in Drafting View.

Do you know if there is a way to take a "snapshot" of a screen image.
If so, does it maintain the integrity of the scale that the image was drawn at?
I'm thinking you could use this to help build a detail library.

Hi, in refrence to your queston of taking some kind of a "snapshot" to place in other projects it is possible. If you export the view you wish to keep on file for other projects into an autocad format, then you can link or import the view into a drafting view and refrence and place it on sheets as you wish using the same file over and over.
