I'm new in Revit and I'm attmpting to place a gable end wall that I want just the 2x6 studs exposed and then place 2 of them to support a ridge beam. I've chosen a 3" wide beam for my ridge and I want to illustrate 2 2x6's for the support column and then build the rake wall without sheeting or shetrock. I've tried loading timber columns from the load auto desk family but nothing comes up to load. I'm using the trial version of Revit 2024. I've tried to simply place a 2x6 vertically on a plate I have placed but can't seem to get the stud to turn properly so I can use it. 

Help?
