I was looking through the gallery and was wondering how long does it take your guys, that post in the gallery, to design build and render a project?

that depends on how large the project is, how many levels, wich materials to use, and backgrounds.
i use from half a day to a couple of days, but then again i usualy only does small houses.
Keep it up

Hi allstate,
iqlayser is right, resolving the design is what really takes the time - actually modelling the project happens very quickly once you have the design right.
In terms of presentation, it need not take long but the most convincing renderings you see will probably have been well thought out (like in modelling, thought out = time spent). While its quick to set up an average rendering - which most people will argue is all you need, to properly resolve all aspects you could find yourself working for a few hours on a single image (pre and post editing) included.

I have been doing plans for about 5 years now. The first 2 years I worked in my families lumber yard so
I only did a plan every now and then. But I have been doing about 1 house plan per day for the last 3 years. This is not counting the help I get when someone is working with me. I am really fast with autocad but I am getting there with revit.. just need to master my custom families.
The contractors that I work with already know what they want and they trust me so I don't have to be waiting for them to decide what I'm going to do. One of the main reasons that I've had so much work is because of our lumber yard.. but of course I always try to do the best that I can.
Sorry to include al these things you are not asking about
