Hi reviteers,
Is it possible to rotate the north point, or default northern orientation which I"m assuming is up the page?
I have built a model, done the documentation, lots of drafting etc...etc...
My model is approximately 15deg. west of north, but i would like to rotate it to get better northern aspect... but of course i have done lots of drafting and if i rotate the model itself it messes up a lot of the drafting.
So can I rotate the northern axis instead?

To set the project to North, open your site plan. Right click and select View Properties. In the Element Properties box under the Graphics heading, change the Orientation to True North. Click OK.
From the Menu Bar, select Settings > Locations & Coordinates > Rotate this Project / True North.
The rotation symbal appears. Rotate your project until your desired North is vertical on the screen.
Your Floor Plans etc should still be unchanged. If they have moved, right click (In the Plan views - not the Site Plan!!) and in the Element Properties change the orientation to Project North.

OK... tried that i can't find Locations and coordinates in the Settings menu, all I have is 'Manage place and locations' ... Under locations it does not give me the option to rotate the project.
I have attached a pdf file showing the window which opens up when I go to 'Manage place and locations'.

I don't know which Revit version you've got but in 8.0 the location of 'Rotate this Project / True North' is as described. I've attached a word document showing where this stuff is hiding.
Ps. your house looks like it has a great view!!
Pps Coreed, I'll have to let your link download over-night my speed is dropping to 1.3kbs :-(
Cheers All

From version 8.1 onwards, the Rotate True North tool is on the bottom of the Tools menu under Project Position/Orientation.
Cheers

I'm using 8.1, so its definitely different.
But I'm looking at the DGCAD clip which is 8.1 and see if that works... and finding it a mind twister, a bit like design options!
