I'm pretty new to revit, and have bee very successful at rendering with it. However, I've been splitting faces of exterior walls to show different materials in the rendering. Now I would like to add reveals. I have a standard reveal, but when I insert it at the same location as the split face line, it deletes the split face line. Is there a way to use reveals and still keep the plit face lines? Any Help would be appreciated.

Are you splitting the walls to add different materials? If so, are you doing it in the wall assembly dialogue or in the 3d view? It should be done in the wall assembly dialogue while you're making the actual wall type. You can then add reveals that way. If you are still having problems with the split lines in the wall assembly dialogue, be sure the split line occurs right at the height specified for the reveal. And if your STILL having problems after that, let me know and we can meet up and look at the problem. I'm right down the road from you... well, relatively speaking =) Good luck!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
