How do I get the elevation views to show the topography along the building faces and not just where the elevation line is? I have a project with a steep lot and on one elevation view where the massing of the building steps back the grading shows up going across building elements.

If you place a building pad along the perimeter of your exterior walls a topography line will show up where the wall meets the topography.

What is happening is that the elevation reference line is cutting through a graded area that is higher than the pad elevation for this area. If the elevation reference line could be "stepped or staggered" to follow the outline of the building it would help as the building is not square.

I understand. Getting the blue elevation line to stagger like sections lines do is one of my wishlist items. You could use a section line instead of a elevation tag. You could also turn off the topography and add a filled region to represent where the grade is instead.
