is it possible to draw a Structural Frame System then align the beam(s) with something? It seems you can sort of force this with the justification options. But it seems to behave badly when you modify it after the intial layout. I changed the staring layout line and the justification and it redrew the layout with missing beams Is it possible to make the beams sloping?

Hi Steve A structural frame system is associated to a work plane! You can set your work plane to be almost any surface or level you like for example floors or roof! If you set your structural frame system to be on a sloped roof plane the beam system will be associated to that slope! You could also go about this by drawing a "Ref Plane" at required slope on a section! In the properties of the Ref Plane give it a name (first tab). When the Ref Plane has a name it also appears among the work planes and you can set your work plane to be that Ref Plane! To set you work plane before drawing the structural frame system; click on the "Plane" icon on your "Tools" toolbar (icon next to your gird icon and measure tool). From the dropdown menu select the Ref Plane you named and press OK. When you draw the beam system after that it will be associated to that work plane! You can also modify the work plane in the properties of your beam systems after you have already drawn it! Hope this helps! Regards, Nic
