I have added a turndown slab around my building using the host sweep command. The "thickened portion" shows up in the sections and in the building elevations but not in the 3D model. Why is this? Also, how do you model a continuous footing around the building that will have the top of footing at the bottom of the turndown and not attached to the wall? Thanks in advance for any help!

The first thing you should check in your 3D view is the visability settings! Make sure that the floors are turned on and all the attached catagories to floors!
Secondly you may like to look at how you joined geometry! It seems that if you join it one way items may disappear and if you join it the other way round (select the turndown first before the floor) it doesnt disappear! Fault in the programming!
About a footing! You can do a footing the same way you did your turndown using Host Sweep! You will have to create the profile of desired footing and load it into project! In the footing properties (you get there by selecting object and either by clicking on properties icon on toolbar or right click and select properties) you can set the height! Change height to be lower or higher as desired! You can also move the footing up and down in a section!
Hope this is of some help!
