hey im going through the tutorials and when i try to mirror stairs the stairs mirror but the railings end up in some off the wall place. this happened in another tutorial but i just figured it was my error. Is this something im doing wrong or is this a glitch?

I just had a try and had no problems with the railing when mirroring the stair. Note: I did not select the railing when doing the mirror. Just mirrored the stairs and the railing were automatically created... That might be where your going wrong?

hey i tried just mirroring the stairs but it does the same thing. the railings always end up in the same place, but it isnt where they are supposed to be. any other tips?

ok i got it, you have to group the stairs and railings and then mirror
|
