Hi All,

Bit of a newbie question, well oldie that hasn't used Revit for years!

Hoping someone can help, I'm trying to change the size of the text I've added in the text filed which is below the dimension. I want it to be smaller than the size shown on the dimension, similar to the attached image. This is something I am used to in Autocad where you can change the text with an override. It helps when I have a lot of dimensions and looks neater.

Is this possible to do in Revit?

Thanks

Not sure how to change the text size of the additonal text.  I would make a new dimension with the smaller text size, place a new dimension string on top of the first dimension, over write the dimension text and move under the actual dimension text. See attached.  Added steps, but a work around.

JIMBOYO,  Are you using alternative units for this text or is there another Revit improvement that I am no aware of?  I would assume the alternative units size is fixed to the main text size.  We always used simple text placed below the line for notes like this.  I don't belive I would add the second dimension on top of the original as someone has suggested.

I don't know how to change the size of the text in the extra text. I would make a new dimension with smaller text, put a new dimension string on top of the first dimension, overwrite the dimension text, and move under the real dimension text. See the file. More steps, but there's a way around it.
