Is there a way to dimension using yards as a unit? Obviously you have imperial inches and feet and metric; it would seem yards would be a simple calculation to display instead of feet (for example, I am dimensioning items on a golf course). Is there any way to do this?

there is not a way to do this with the built in dimensioning but I was able to make a line based detail item family that does the trick. It will report the correct yards no matter what the project units are set too.
Family is Revit 2021.

Thank you for doing that marmiketin1!
Unfortunately, we are still on Revit 2020. Could you create it as a Revit 2020 file or earlier?

Here is a 2017 version you can upgrade to 2020.

Works great, thanks again.
It is too bad you can't customize Revit dimensioning to do this easily.

Yes it would be nice if you could add custom units that just does a calculation based on a predefined unit already in revit. Maybe one day
