Hi All
I am experimenting with multi-category tagging and scheduling.
My ultimate goal is to see if I can use this system for taggin/scheduling 'most' parts of my projects.
It seems to work well ... until I get to gutters and fascias.
I have created a 'Multi-Cat Keynote' shared parameter which is intended to replace keynotes where possible. I have loaded this parameter to the materials of the gutter, and the gutter itself, but Revit won't let me tag the gutter with the Multi-cat tag function.
I have read the following in a different forum ... ""Multi-category schedules can only include loadable families. When you select shared parameters, categories which do not have the chosen shared parameters will be unable to be selected. "
Taking into account I feel that I have applied a shared paramter to the gutter family and it's material ... there is something I'm not either not doing right, or Revit is struggling with this functionality.
I have read plenty of commentary that Revit keynotes are either lacking functionality or interoperability with other schedules ... any light on the topic would be fantastic.
