Trying to break a wall horizontally and not having any luck. Its in a model group so I edit the group then goto 3d or an elevation and the pen tool just wont break it. I have done this on other walls so I know it works. Whats the trick?

You mean you are using the "split" tool.
- Click Modify tab Modify panel (Split Element).
- Place the cursor on the wall or line at the point you wish to split. Note: A stacked wall can only be split vertically. ...
- Click to place the split. A permanent horizontal line displays on the wall indicating the split.
Make sure you are picking the corect wall when you have joined corners.
