Hi all,

I've got a model where someone loaded in four Shared Parameters in the wrong order they wanted. They synchronized and then realized it. Deleted the parameters but of course since they are from a Shared Parameter file they aren't tryely "gone" from the project. So if they add them back they are in the original "wrong" order. Ive read that they can be permanently deleted through selecting the Shared Parameters element ID. Problem is I have no idea how to do that. I don't have the time(or knowledge) to write a dynamo script or know how to access the API. Does anyone know hot to do this?

First off before doing anything I would make a backup of the central model file.

Then in project go to Manage-->Shared Parameters and look at the file location of where the shared parameter txt file is saved.

Open this file location and duplicate the shared parameter file and rename it addind backup of something else to the name.

Then open the original and and find the shared parameters you want to remove. delete the lines and save. then in project delete the shared parameters. you want to remove. Then click "Create" and save over the file. This should remove them from the project and the shared parameter file. Now recreate the parameters in the order you want. Once done click "Create" again and save over the file.

I have not tested this myself but it should work. If it does not you can simply revert back to your backup shared parameter file and central model.
