Hi
I came here to find some families so I can use in a new project. The files download just fine, but I cannot seem to be able to get them to open.
When I try, this message comes out (insert error 1.png)
It only happens with files from revitcity, I've tried other websites (bimarchiproducts, bimobject, etc) and they work just fine.
Is there a way to fix this? This site has the biggest catalog and it's sad now I can't download anything

Try this.... Just open the family instead of trying to load it. If that is successful, look at what category the family is.

I did it as Open > Family > The file I downloaded
Tried it, now another error
Idk why it only happens with files I download from here, I never had a problem before.

Look for the file using your system downloads tab .... the file must not be where you think it is.

Sorry it took me so long to reply.
I still cannot find what I'm doing wrong.
I tried going to the exact folder the family is in and just clicked on it so that revit opens it. It loads and even ask me if I wanna upgrade the file (I'm using Revit 2021) and keeps loading until it give me this error again [image attached].
I'm growing concerned since I need to download a ton of families for the project I'm working due next week, but I can't seem to find anyone dealing with this same error.

This has over 20,000 downloads and a high rating so something may be going on with your system.
If you still have 2020, try using that first. We never moved up to a new Revit until a couple of updates because there are usually issues.
