I have a project with a casework family I have made loaded into the project and the cut lineweight is too thick.
When I change the casework cut lineweight in object styles it does not change the family.
Thanks I have checked:
- The family has nested parts. All of the parts are "Casework" families
- I have not made any of the parts subcategories.
- The view does not have a visibilty / graphics override applied to it.
The random thing is that the object style has lineweight 2 assigned to the cut linetypes, as mentioned changing the cut lineweight doesn't do anything.
However if I change the thickness of Lineweight 5 in "Lineweight" under additional settings, it changes the cut thickness of the family.
Nowhere can I see that lineweight 5 is assigned to casework cut styles.
Where would it be assigned this lineweight? Why is it happening?

In the project go to Manage Tab --> Object Styles --> Casework, then expand and change the linetype weight for the lines you want. This must be done in project. If a linestyle/type is created in a fmily and the family is loaded into a project that linestyle/type is loaded into the project as well. Once that happens the project version of the line will override any changes you may have made in the family itself.

Yeah,
I undertsand that - but that does not change the object in cut view.
I have opened the project, picked the casework family - opened it for editing and then loaded it into a new blank template family. The casework family then behaves as it should, so there is some override that has somehow transposed the lineweight value or made the lineweight assignments changed in that particular project.
I also noted that if I change the lineweight 5 under additional settings it changes other objects that it is not assigned to like windows. Is there a global lineweight override for cut objects in a view?
Is there somewhere else other than object styles or visibility graphics overrides that affects lineweight?

OK Fixed it. Don't know what the problem was. I think the use changed something but I don't know what. I transferred project standards from the template and it fixed it.
Weird.
