I am trying to split the face of an exterior wall to have a multi colored face.  The wall is made up of tilt-up concrete panel with revals and metal stud furring.  When I go to split the wall I get an error of "The closed loop used to split the face must lie completely within the face and cannot intersect or overlap any of the face's edges.  To split a face at its border, use an open loop that ends on the boundary of the face". I tried doing a loop, a single line, double lines but nothing works.  Any hlep would be great.  Thanks.

How you created your panel reveals may affect this.

Thanks for the information.  I think you are correct.  When I remove the reveals.  It splits the surface the way I want it.
