Hi All,
I am coming back to Revit after 10 years and are setting up the company templates etc, so I may have a few questions, bear with me.
What is the best practice for setting up cutom materials? We have some hi-res maps for timber cladding etc and I want to put them into the template. I note that Revit nees to know where these maps are. We generally have on our server a Folder called "Textures" with subfolders based on material type - roofing, masonary, brickwork etc. We then have texture maps in those folders. If I make a new Material using the appearance tab, I can then select a map from one of these subfolders.
So my question is what is best practice for this? Do I need to add the Texture Folder to the "Addtional Render Appearance Paths" under options or should it find it automatically?
What do other people do for networked resources for this?
Cheers.
