I would like to add an object to a door family that represents an ADA clearance box. I would like this object to trigger an interference error message when another object such as wall or casework is placed in the area of the ADA clearance object. Any help on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

This one would be tough because the clearance areas change depending on the approach path and if the door has a closer or not. See the following figures:

I don't know if Revit is smart enough to understand all those scenarios.
You may be able to design for the worst case scenario, leaving the possibility of some wasted space.
I'll have to think about it. You may be able to make a void that would cut everything in the clearance area. Then if your casework is cuttable it would simply chop it off and you could see right off that there was a problem. . . . I'll have to think about that one some more.
