I've created a elevation family for my firm, that is more like what we have used in AutoCAD.

We place the 4 elevations under one view title and have a custom (hacked) shared parameter called "view # on sheet" this shows up on the view title and the elevation bubble.

All seems to work just fine and the firm has accepted this new work around.

One Problem, When i reference an interior elevations (when i have mutli view that are similar), the custom shared parameter doesn't propagate to the referece properites.

I'm looking for a way to either propagate the existing custom shared parameter, or to create a new parameter that works in the Reference properties.

I'll share my revit family in a comment below.

TEMP workaround

under annotations - select 'view reference'

I created a family that looked like my interior elevation symbol (w/o the arrows), this had the same parameter as the interior elevations and would update when you change that parameter on the sheet/elevation/etc.

then i overlap that view reference bubble with an adjustible arrow so i can point at the correct wall.

seems like a lot to do, so hopefully will find an easier way.
