I have memories of doing this about 10yr ago with what i think was a .prn file ...... or was it? I think it was and the only thing i could find that would open it was coreldraw. Try and track down a version of that. Hope that helps somewhat.

thanks latemore but exporting a shaded line view
as image looks terrible compared to print..
and yes silverangle that is EXACTLY what i'm
looking for.. convert prn to jpeg .. but everything
i have read so far leads me to suspect that you
never do anything with a prn except print..but i
have corel so i'll try something in that.. thanks

Another fun way to do it might be to print to PDF and then open the fabulous file in photoshop and save it down to a jpeg.

If you are after screen resolution .jpg's? How about a Windows print screen? Then you can do what ever you want to the bitmap file.

The thing about a PRN file is they require the drivers of a particular printer to generate the image. As such attempting to extract information that has been specifically written for a singular purpose often has issues.
Your best bet is as suggested print to PDF and convert the PDF to jpg.

I agree, print to pdf works best.

smart bunch in here.. i downloaded adobe acrobat professional and it showed up
right along with my printer when i click print in revit.. i opened the pdf in adobe and saved
it as a jpeg.. now i can email my shaded line views without the jagged edges.. the picture
quality is just a little wobbly but it's a whole lot better then file>export>image out of revit..
thanks people..
