Hello. I am a student learning Revit, which I am really enjoying learning. I have what I think is a question with a simple fix. I am buiding a house via online tutorial videos. The house obviously has set dimensions but I am finding the the dimensins on any given way keep changing by a couple of inches. If I correct one section, the (from dimension to dimensin) the next segment loses its correct dimensions. What am I doing wrong? Shoudl I have hit the lock button when I set those dimensions?
Thank you very much in advance for any advice!

Dimensions are dependent on your model. Let's say you have three walls and the dimension for the first wall to the third is 10'. If this dimension is locked or if wall 1 and 3 are locked in place, then if you add a dimension wall to wall and wall 1 to wall 2 is 4' and wall 2 to wall 3 is 6'. Now if you change the first dimension to 4'6, the second will now read 5'6.... They have to add up to the overall.
So, learn to control what in your model is important. It is not a dimension but a location controlled by a dimension.
