hi guys, I am on revit architecture 2016. trying to produce a close resemblance of the curtain wall in attached 002.jpg

I created a curtain wall panel family with a sun shade element, basically a leaf shaped profile extruded and constrained. on the corners however I need extensions that are  cut 45 degree . It proved impossible to go parametric. So I decided to create special families for corner panels. 

To do that I created an extra piece , made a void that cuts it at 45 degrees in the family editor.  it looks like 001.jpg and 003.jpg in the family editor. However when loaded into the project , the void seems to not work. Like in the 004.jpg . I cant figure it out. super frustrated. I am also attaching the family. Please help

This may not be a solution you like.  I would have modeled the fins as a wall sweep.  The sweep will turn the corner correctly.
