I am very new to Revit and was just trying to input a brace connection to a column base plate using the Gusset plate to column base plate connection.  It's just a W-shape, HSS brace.

I get the error message I have attached, just figure it's something simple I am missing, but I have watched videos and read lots of other post but can't find anything on this yet.

My guess is you need to switch the pimary / 2nd / 3rd connection elments. Click the connection itself in 3d and note the blue dots and connection order 1, 2, 3, etc. The small blue dot toggles the connection order.
