We are currently working on decent size project too and were experiencing some visibly issues. Revir 2018
We have several point clouds loaded in the project (basem, ground, etc) and on each level we have visible only relevant pointclouds (basement on basement level). However, when changing views e.g. floor plan <-> section <->other floor plan the pointclouds sometimes disappear from the all views. The links are still present and loaded, their visibility settings are still on and point cloud is nowhere to be seen.
If we simply reload the link nothing happens, we have to remove the link and bring it in again. This all would be fine if the reloaded cloud came to correct place! There is a visible shift. We checked the coordinates of the model/pointcloud in Revit vs recap and we clearly see the cloud is in incorrect place.
All clouds are loaded same way as at the beginning of the project (shared coordinates)
Thanks for your suggestions

Point clouds are memory intensive. I would only use them with each in its own workset so the workset was normally unloaded except when needed. Having it off in VG doesn't work the same.
