Hi all,

I created a cabinet tag that displays the cabinet width in the top half of the tag and the a detail number on the bottom.

They both work perfectly but I'd like to add a a text string ("L") to the top paramater if the cabinet is lockable.

The formula for the width paramater is a no-brainer ---> Width / 1"

I'm having lo luck getting it to work.

Here's what I've got so far:

(Width / 1")( IF (Lockable=YES ("L"))))

I get a "left parentheses not expected" error message.

Has anyone tried something like this before and maybe know how I can get this to work?

TIA!!

Not sure why you need to divide width by 1" but anyways.

If you want to have a parameter for lockable I would suggest you add a label in the tag that either reports the comments family parameter (instance) and then it can just be filled with whatever you like. Or you would add a shared parameter in the family and the project specifically for that.

thanks for the respeonse.

We use the / 1" because we need to display the width of the cabinet in inches.

I'll give your other suggestions a try!

You can make the label read 'inches' using the label properties. See attached image.
