Hello,
I need to create a garage door with posibility to have windows in it and posibility to control amount of those windows.
The problem is, that when i create array of voids, I use cut command to cut needed elements (door segments) and leave windows uncut (as those are placed in the openings created by voids). Everything seems fine, but when I change array number, newly created voids start to cut everything (windows as well).
Does anyone have an idea how to keep voids in array to cut only needed solids, not all of them? I've tried to keep voids in the same array as window solids are and also to create a separate array just for voids. same result.
I understan that I can nest face baced families with voids, but those always should cut the host, so I can't move them away (and have segments uncut), plus there are several segments, different solids for different detail level. Also I have some other ideas how to go around, but it makes the family more complicated and more "heavy". Maybe someone has an idea how to control which solids to cut by the voids in array in the same family, without nesting anything?
Thanks.
