Revit 2017 - I have attached a PDF of the condition I am talking about. I place my rafters using beam system and the rafters overlap. When I place the ridge it trims back all my rafters so I cannot mitere them to the ridge. I have used reference planes but the rafters and the reference plane no longer intersects to cut. Can some one help or tell me how to turn off the automatic cope to the rafters. Thanks Byron

Make sure that the rafters extend beyond the reference plane that you use to cut it. Amend the boundary of the beam system or move it so that the rafters extend past the reference plane. Use the cut tool to cut each one.
