I have two different files which are loaded in one another. When I run the interference chexk, in the report it shows a clash between two complete remote and disconnected elements. They are not even located near each other. On is a pendant downlight the other is conduit.

I may have something to do with the way which one or more families are made. You could open the clashing elements in th family editor and see there is no rogue geometry away from the core modelled elements. Or you could just ignore it.
