i would like to have a ceiling tag read the way a spot elevation reads the "top elevation" or "bottom elevation" of an element? for instance, in an RCP i would like the ceiling tag to read the underside of the ceiling (gyp.bd.) or "top elevation"

I have never been able to do this but I understand using Dynamo it can be done.Do a search in Revitcity for ceiling tag ceiling height - there are a few results. My work-around is to select the room and set the Limit Offset parameter to the correct ceiling height. Then I create a ceiling tag and change the category to room, add in the "Limit Offset, then change it back to Ceiling Tags and add finish or type parameters.
