I'm creating a family that is a wall hosted markerboard. It needs to have a parameter that you can check so the orientation of the board is either landscape or vertical. Any ideas on how to do this?

Why didn't you build the board with two type parameters - length and width?

It does have the height and width parameters, but the client wants to be able to select either landscape or portrait

Just make two different sets of solid geometry and then use a Yes / No parameter to turn them off or on depending on the chossen geometry.
