WHAT CONTROLS THE LINE SHOWING OR NOT SHOWING ON INSERTION. hOW DO i TURN IT ON WHEN IT DOESNOT SHOW - VER 2017 -

It depends on how the family has been created. Standard View Title families have a parameter to control tthe visibility of the line. If yours doesn't, you can edit the family and give it a visibility parameter.

as  tim123 said all the families will have a default parameter in the type which is show the Show Extension Line to control that line but some custom parameters people add an extra line inside the familiy itself so if you have any issues with that just go and check the view title family and wheither add a visibility parameter for it you need it or delete it
