Hi,
We have a project on Collaboration for Revit A360, at least thats what i think its called. we have a few consultants using it as well so our model are live. Some consultants arent using Revit for production, but want to see the live models. What is stopping anybody from opening another consultants model and making changes? Is there a way to lock people out of making changes yet still have the ability to view, export and print things from the revit model?
Thanks!
jon

Everyone should check out there worksets and DON'T relinquish them. Keep your own worksets, always.

I don't think checking out worksets is a good answer.... multiple users in the same office would have problems.
I think this is a management issue. Having access to 'live' files is absurd. Daily updates to an accessible file should suffice for most or even twice a day.
You could also use a read only directory for these users.

if you put a model on the Collabaration for A360, its a live model that technically any consultant with access to that Hub can access. there is no way to stop that consultant from accessing the model that i can think of.

As I understand A360, you can set permissions for a member to 'VIEWER' - in essance, that is a read only user except I believe that allows for markups?

they can't make pdfs or exports. thats why some of these consultants wanted access to the model. and i believe that they can only view it online through the hub, not through Revit itself
